Intertwined Intestines

Berlin is full of modern sculptures. This one sits in the center of Tauentzienstraße. Here is what I found out about it:

“The official name is “Berlin”, and it was erected during the city jubilee in 1987. With chromium-nickle tubes, the artist couple Matschinsky – Denninghoff wanted to symbolize the divided and yet connected city. Two years later the theme of this work of art no longer applied.” – www.inmedialresearch.de
